What kinds of practices is ComplianceAX built for?
Small medical and dental practices, including practices with more than one location. Physical safeguards are assessed separately for each location.
How many questions are there?
Enough to cover every HIPAA Security, Privacy and Breach Notification requirement that applies to you, across administrative, physical, technical, privacy, breach and vendor safeguards. Questions that don't apply to your practice are set aside, with the reason recorded.
Do we need to upload documents?
No, but it helps. If you upload your existing policies, ComplianceAX can suggest answers, each one quoting your own document. You accept or reject every suggestion.
What happens when we answer No?
You get a gap card explaining what to do next. The gap becomes a task in your remediation plan, and attaching proof when it's done moves your score.
Can our IT provider help?
Yes. Southeastern Technical works alongside you in ComplianceAX, and you can hand any question to a colleague or your IT provider.
What do we show an auditor?
The auditor packet: an export of your whole record as of any date, including answers, documents, tasks and decisions.
